What we do

Working with people

Our Latest Projects

BBC Children in Need

We work with BBC Children in Need to deliver one-to-one sessions for disadvantaged young people. These sessions offer them the opportunity to build confidence and develop transferable skills.

In these sessions the young people learn the daily routine of looking after donkeys and participate in activities such as brushing the donkeys, mucking out stables and helping with conservation work.

Often these young people continue to work with Snowdonia Donkeys after finishing their allotted sessions. From joining our weekly donkey club or attending our fund-raising events, it’s always nice to see familiar faces.

Donkeys are amazing animals to help build confidence. They are patient and reliable, and they enjoy working with people.

Dwynwen is often the first donkey young people will work with thanks to her small size and calm personality. She loves the chance to meet new people and her quiet confidence makes her the perfect donkey for anyone who is a little bit nervous.

Adult Learning Wales

Snowdonia Donkeys delivers community courses for Adult Learning Wales. These include donkey care skills, toddler and parent learning sessions and gardening. Head over to Adult Learning Wales to find out more.
